Summer Diversity Intern

precollegiate-01

Purpose
The Summer Diversity Internship at the Wadsworth Atheneum provides one undergraduate student with a paid, full-time internship in a world-class art collection under the mentorship of seasoned museum professionals. The purpose of the internship is to broaden opportunities for those underrepresented in the museum field.

Eligibility
The Summer Diversity Internship is open to currently enrolled undergraduate juniors and seniors from diverse backgrounds. Recognizing that diversity is multi-faceted, applicants are asked to submit an essay addressing how their unique experiences contribute to diversity in the museum field (see Application Guidelines). Non-art history majors with an interest in art, history, museums, non-profits, or community engagement are encouraged to apply. Additional requirements are listed under each Placement description.

Please visit the Wadsworth Atheneum’s internship program page for more information and application guidelines.
